FAQ
Straight answers, including the unflattering ones.
What VEDAM does, what it deliberately does not claim, and how an engagement actually works.
What is VEDAM Capital?
VEDAM Capital is a capital advisory and structured finance firm serving Indian businesses. It helps a business move from a capital requirement to a structured, executed mandate — diagnosing the requirement, shaping it into a form a capital provider can act on, and running the process end to end.
Is VEDAM a lender, NBFC or bank?
No. VEDAM does not represent itself as a lender, NBFC, bank or SEBI-registered intermediary unless the relevant legal entity and authorization exist and are approved for publication. VEDAM does not provide credit and makes no offer of funding.
Does VEDAM guarantee funding?
No. VEDAM does not publish an unrestricted funding guarantee. Capital decisions rest with capital providers, and any commitment language is limited to exact wording approved by the owner and legal counsel.
What happens before VEDAM proceeds on a project?
An enquiry is qualified first. Confidentiality and scope are then documented through an NDA and MOU, and the mandate goes to internal review before VEDAM formally accepts or declines it. Work on an active mandate begins only after that acceptance.
What kinds of capital requirements does VEDAM work on?
Nine requirement types across four families: growth capital (working capital, expansion, startup funding); project and structured finance; refinancing and promoter capital; and strategic or complex situations including acquisitions and requirements that have already been declined elsewhere.
My requirement was already rejected by a bank. Is it still worth a conversation?
Often yes — but not always, and you will be told which. A rejection is a decision rather than a diagnosis, and it usually traces to one specific constraint: cash flow, security, banking conduct, sector view or structure. Whether that constraint can be restructured or routed differently is exactly what the assessment stage determines.
Who will I actually be dealing with?
The two founders. Every mandate is worked through both lenses — operational and financial — and neither founder role sits above the other. There is no relationship-manager layer between you and the people accountable for the work.
What does VEDAM charge?
Engagement is on an attempt-fee and milestone basis, agreed in writing per mandate before work begins. Specific commercial terms are pending owner confirmation and are not published here. [CONTENT REQUIRED — OWNER INPUT: attempt fee and milestone terms]
How long does a mandate take?
It depends on the requirement, the capital pathway and how quickly information can be provided — so no standard timeline is published. What is defined is the sequence: milestones are agreed at the start of an active mandate and progress is tracked against them.
Is my information kept confidential?
Confidentiality is documented through an NDA before a mandate becomes active, and is one of the reasons documentation precedes work in the methodology. Full data-handling terms are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Right capital. Right structure. Right outcome.
Still have a question?
Ask it directly. If the answer is no, you'll hear that too.
