VEDAM Capital

About VEDAM Capital

Two disciplines, equal responsibility, one mandate.

VEDAM Capital is led by two founders who split responsibility equally — one grounded in building and scaling businesses, the other in lending and financial structuring — with a third co-founder leading technology. Every mandate is shaped by both perspectives before it moves forward.

Our story

Two sides of the same table.

VEDAM Capital exists because its two founders spent their careers watching the same problem from opposite sides of the table — and neither side can fix it alone.

A bank service counter on one side of an office and two people working through files on the other.

From the business side

Vishal — Operations & Growth

Two decades building and running businesses — procurement, operations, marketing and sales, across consumer brands and technology.

Seen from that side of the table, the problem is a familiar one: a business that works, a requirement that is real, and capital that arrives late, in the wrong shape, or not at all.

From the capital side

Balwant — Finance & Structuring

More than fourteen years across State Bank of India, ICICI, HDFC, Kotak and others — and a specialism in debt syndication with banks, NBFCs and AIFs.

Seen from that side, it looks like a different problem but it is the same one: capable businesses arriving with requirements nobody had shaped. The right business, the wrong file.

Where the two meet

Neither view is enough on its own.

Operational realityLending reality
A fundable mandate

A structure built without understanding operations hands a business a repayment it cannot carry. A case built without understanding lending criteria hands a capital provider nothing it can act on. Most capital requirements fall into that gap — and are never diagnosed, only refused.

VEDAM was built to close that gap deliberately: one firm holding both views at once, with neither founder’s read able to override the other.

That is why responsibility is split equally rather than by seniority, and why a mandate has to satisfy both lenses before it moves — including the decision to decline one.

Why VEDAM exists

Capital rarely fails on merit. It fails on process.

Four things go wrong repeatedly when an Indian business goes looking for capital. VEDAM was built around removing them.

01

A rejection with no reason

A business is told no, and never told which part of the file caused it. Nothing gets fixed, so the next application fails the same way.

02

An ask, not a structure

A number and a need get circulated to whoever will look. What a capital provider actually needs to see — logic, security, repayment — was never built.

03

Introductions instead of accountability

Contacts get shared and the business is left to chase the process itself, with no one answerable for the outcome.

04

Optimism where there should be a view

Everything is fundable until it isn't. An honest early no is worth more than months spent on a requirement that was never going to clear.

How we work

One mandate. Two disciplines. Equal responsibility.

Neither founder role sits above the other. Every capital requirement that reaches VEDAM is worked through both lenses — financial and operational — before it moves forward.

Vishal — Operations & Growth

Reads the business behind the requirement

How it runs, sells and scales — and whether the capital structure fits how the business actually operates, not just its balance sheet.

Balwant — Finance & Structuring

Reads the requirement against real lending criteria

Property, cash flow, banking conduct — and structures it into a form a capital provider can actually act on.

Founders

The people accountable for your mandate.

Not a desk, not a relationship manager, not a queue. The two people below are the ones who assess, structure and answer for the work.

Vishal Kiran Sharma

Vishal Kiran Sharma

Co-Founder, VEDAM Capital

Operations & Growth

Vishal has spent two decades on the operating side of Indian business — beginning in the creative industries, then co-founding and founding consumer and technology ventures where he personally led procurement, operations, marketing and sales through every stage of growth.

That is the lens he brings to every VEDAM mandate. Before a requirement can be structured, someone has to look at the business underneath it and say, with authority, whether it can carry what it is asking for. Vishal is that person — and because he has built businesses himself, clients get an assessment from someone who has sat where they sit.

  1. Foundation

    Creative industries

A first career across fashion photography, advertising filmmaking and agency-side work — building things for clients before building companies of his own.

  2. Building

    Co-Founder, Papa Brands

A consumer mobile-accessories brand built from procurement through to sales — the complete operating cycle, owned end to end.

  3. Scaling

    Founder, Timbresonic

Founded and led operations, marketing and sales, scaling the business systematically rather than opportunistically.

  4. Today

    Technology — AI & cybersecurity

Currently with a technology company in AI, antivirus and cybersecurity, applying the same operating discipline in a fast-moving sector.

Balwant Vishwakarma

Balwant Vishwakarma

Co-Founder, VEDAM Capital

Finance & Structuring

Balwant is a banking and finance professional with more than fourteen years across India's leading institutions — State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Kotak, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank and others — and the founder of Adore Fin Services, a financial advisory practice serving businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and individuals.

His specialism is debt syndication and structuring: CGTMSE-backed lending, cash credit and overdraft limits, and the design of debt across banks, NBFCs and AIFs. At VEDAM that expertise has one purpose — to shape a requirement into something a capital provider can act on, and to say plainly, and early, when it cannot be.

  1. Institutions

    Banking & finance

Worked with State Bank of India, Central Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC and Kotak.

  2. Specialism

    Debt syndication & fundraising

CGTMSE loans, cash credit and OD limits, and debt structuring — working directly with banks, NBFCs and AIFs.

  3. Practice

    Founder, Adore Fin Services

Financial advisory and funding solutions for businesses, entrepreneurs, investors and individuals, including property-backed funding.

  4. Approach

    Client-first, not lender-first

Understands the client's business, financial position, security and repayment capacity before structuring anything at all.

Technology

The engineering behind the advisory.

VEDAM's technology is led by a third co-founder, who builds the systems that support the founders' judgement — never a substitute for it.

Sanidhya Vishal Sharma

Sanidhya Vishal Sharma

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer, VEDAM Capital

Technology, AI & Data Intelligence

Sanidhya brings an engineering mindset, grounded in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, to capital advisory. As Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, he builds the technology foundation that lets VEDAM work with more structure, speed and consistency as the firm grows.

His work is translation: taking complex financial workflows and turning them into clear, structured systems — using data intelligence, AI-enabled automation and careful product engineering to improve how information is processed, how opportunities are evaluated and how advisory work is carried out.

At VEDAM, technology is there to sharpen professional judgement, not replace it. Sanidhya works where AI, data and financial workflows meet, building systems that support better-informed decisions, steadier operations and a foundation the firm can scale on.

  1. Foundation

    Engineering & data science

An engineering background alongside studies in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, applied to practical business problems.

  2. Specialisation

    AI & intelligent systems

A technology-led approach to data processing, workflow automation and decision support for capital advisory.

  3. Building

    Product & technology architecture

The digital foundations, systems and workflows that make complex advisory processes more structured, efficient and scalable.

  4. Vision

    Technology with purpose

AI and data intelligence that strengthen human expertise, raise operational discipline and connect the capital advisory ecosystem.

Principles

What we hold to on every mandate.

Both lenses, every mandate

Nothing moves forward on one founder's read alone. Operational reality and lending reality both have to hold.

Diagnose before distributing

A requirement is understood and structured before any capital provider sees it. Broadcasting an unready file burns the relationships that matter.

The right to decline

VEDAM formally accepts or declines each mandate after internal review. A mandate we don't believe in is refused, not quietly carried.

Documents before work

Confidentiality and scope are signed before a mandate becomes active, so the engagement rests on writing rather than assumption.

Be clear on what we are

What VEDAM is — and what it is not.

VEDAM is

  • A capital advisory and structured finance firm.
  • An advisor that diagnoses, structures and runs a capital mandate end to end.
  • Accountable to a written scope agreed before work begins.

VEDAM is not

  • A bank, NBFC, SEBI-registered intermediary or lender.
  • A source of credit, and it makes no offer or guarantee of funding.
  • A broker distributing an unstructured file to whoever will read it.
